Shelby County Education Foundation - Give For Good

Shelby County Education Foundation was founded to support scholarships for future teachers. We want to grow our own educators in Shelby County! Moreover, we hope to fulfill the "wildest dreams" of teachers with innovation grants for the classroom. To support four current scholarship winners, Jeian Hayes, Victoria Harris, TJ Robinson, and Trianna Campbell, as well as provide future scholarships and innovation grants, SCEF needs your help! On 9/17/21, you can give online and help us meet our goal of raising $10,000.

The following is explained on the Give for Good Website!

With your help, the Shelby County Education Foundation will impact thousands of Shelby County students for years to come. Each year, the Foundation provides scholarships to minority graduates from SCPS who desire to teach in Shelby County. Current Superintendent, Dr. Sally Sugg, says "We need these young people to return to teach in our schools. Through grants, scholarships, and gifts, the funds from the Shelby County Education Foundation will be used to give Shelby County students the kind of experiences that make them want to return to teach in our community." Currently, we are assisting aspiring teachers who want to make a difference in the classroom in Shelbyville. We have a goal of helping eight students per year as they pursue their dream of becoming educators in Shelby County, KY. As the fund grows, teachers will apply for mini-grants that allow them to provide unique learning experiences for their students. This only happens with your help.
