OVEE Weekly Update
September 17,2021
Important Info
Medicine
Please do not send pills or medicines in student backpacks. If there is a medication your child needs please come into the office and complete a form which allows the authorized staff to administer the appropriate medication.
Change of Clothes
Please send a change of clothing with your child that can stay in his/her locker here at school. We have a limited amount of underwear, shoes and clothing. We know that students have accidents and we would like to be able to resolve any issues without having to call home for a change of clothes
Tardies and Early Sign outs
Students coming in at or after 9:00am on regular school days will receive a half day absence.
Students coming in after 10:15am on late start days will receive a half day absence.
Students picked up at or before 3:00pm will receive a half day absence as well.
We know emergencies arise but we would like for each student to complete each learning day whenever possible, so parents we need your help to get them here on time each day.
Parent Pick-Up
We are trying our best to stream line the parent pick-up process. We appreciate your patience and want you to know we are striving to quickly and efficiently dismiss, while maintaining a safe process.
Please remember
- Students arriving after the bell rings MUST be signed by an adult at the office
- Park in designated parent pick up areas, make sure not to park your car in a no parking zone-as it causes traffic jams
- Students under the age of 16 will not be allowed to pick up at the end of the day
- Students must be picked up promptly when they are dismissed at the end of the day our office closes at 4:30pm daily
- We ask that you please do not enter the building at the end of the day to take students from the parent pick up area because this can lead to confusion when we are trying to determine where students are located and who they left the building with.
What did I miss?
Parents please update your information in the parent portal. This is the information we need to get in touch with you regarding school information. We also use this information for parent permissions for fieldtrips as well as bussing requests. So if your information is incorrect your child could potentially miss out on fieldtrips and bussing requests may be delayed.
When you update your demographics it helps us reach you in case of emergency as well.
Please contact our office at (231)760-1850 if you are having trouble accessing and updating your information.
Thank you
