Region 15 CTE Weekly Update

June 8-12, 2020

“If we only did things that were easy, we wouldn’t actually be learning anything. We’d just be practicing things we already knew.”– David Dockterman

Already the second week of June and the summer is trucking by. I added a few more workshops and all the registration links are live. As soon as I complete the NCCER Master Trainer Course next week, I will know when I will be able to turn that training around. I am thinking of leading a book study in the fall, would anyone be interested? The book is titled Marching Off the Map: Inspire Students to Navigate a Brand New World by Tim Elmore. I would provide a copy of the book. Also, would anyone be interested in having 6 week planning sessions? The core content area folks have been doing this with teachers and I thought perhaps it could be something we could do with CTE. I plan on incorporating strategies they use in mining the TEKS and planning sessions during the Getting Ready workshops this summer. Please let me know how I can assist you in planning for next year. I can also schedule a phone call, zoom or possibly a face to face visit if you would like.
