Do you want to donate new or gently used books to New Britton Elementary? We have a Book Drive starting February 17th and ends on February 28th. Our goal is to donate 1 free book to every student here at New Britton Elementary. Hopefully having some leftovers to donate out in the community. Would you love to share the joy of reading with other children? We will accept any kind of books (Picture Books, Comic Books, Non-fiction and Fiction Books) at any guided reading levels. Please put the donated books in the book boxes located throughout the building. Any help would be greatly appreciated to bring the joy of reading to many!!
Thanks, Mrs. Buening & Mrs. Moore’s Classes

STAFF SPOTLIGHT
Mrs. Jill Mayer - 2nd grade teacher
A Little about Me: I have been teaching for 23 years. I have taught first, second and third grade with 19 of those years being in second grade. I spent 15 years teaching in the Southern Hancock school district and 8 years in the Hamilton Southeastern school district. I am local to Hamilton County having grown up in Noblesville, but now I reside in Fishers with my husband and two kids (ages 16 and 13.) Every member of my family is SCUBA certified and we try and spend our vacations under the water!
What Brings Me Joy: I love spending time with my family. I am a soccer mom, a volleyball mom and a show choir mom! My kids are very active and I enjoy more than anything watching them shine. I have two dogs and a cat at home that also bring me a lot of joy!
Favorite Food: My favorite food is sushi with Mexican food as a close second.
Favorite place to visit: My favorite place to visit is the coast where diving is an option. If I can't go under the water, I am happy to sit by the water with a good book in hand.
