Girls' Basketball Support NEEDED
Benjamin Snow Buck Exchange
During the month of December FMS will host the Franklin Exchange. Students will exchange their signed Benjamin’s for a Snow Buck Ticket each Monday and Tuesday during lunch periods. (Students will need their first and last names on their Benjamin’s). Franklin Student Council members will host the exchange table.
The Benjamin’s that students exchange will go into a drawing that will be done each day during the 15 school days of December. Each afternoon, with the exception on Fridays, the selected student names will be announced who are eligible to purchase items from the Benjamin Snow Buck Exchange. Students will take their tickets to the attendance office during their lunch hour and Ms. Weaver will have students make their selection during their grade level lunch period. Student Council member will help with recording gift selection(s) and restocking the display case each day.
Donations are welcome: Over the past five or so years we have relied heavily on donations from our staff and franklin families. Items will be displayed in the third floor display case. We try to offer a variety of things that would appeal for all ages. Items from $1.00 to $20.00 are welcome. Gift cards are also welcomed. We appreciate regifted items during this time. Students can use these items for gifts to their own family members. It is nice for them to have an opportunity to "shop" and take part in the holiday of gift giving. We make this a success because of your involvement.
If you choose to donate just leave those items in the main office. We will work them into our display. We remind students to check out the display case each day because things come in and go out daily. We like to keep fluid.
If you have a special request or student need let me know. We have some amazing elves that can take care of things in a magical way.

Continuing Information
Dismissal Pathway to Lunch
We're looking for ways to streamline the dismissal to and from the cafeteria for lunch. Our Foundations' Team met on Wednesday to talk through a plan to help alleviate some of the congestion in the stairwells. The change in flow will mean a change in how we position ourselves in the hallway for supervision. The information below will be
- 6th Grade: Use South stairwell only (unless KITE or exploratory) to and from
- 7th Grade: Use North stairwell only (unless KITE or exploratory) to and from
- 8th Grade: No change
Classroom Passes Reminders
- Passes should not be given to students within the first 5 minutes of the class period. Students should use their passing time or wait for class to begin before asking to leave the classroom.
- Students need to have their hard cover passes with them when leaving the classroom. This hard cove pass must also include the appropriate destination placard of their destination.
Professional Learning Networks
What is a PLN?
PLN (Professional Learning Network) is a format used to bring a group of learners together based upon a common interest. PLNs works to deepen their understanding of the topic using common materials to read, discuss, and create a plan of action/product based on what was learned.
The PLNs we are setting up are to help us continue addressing our IDI group profile developmental orientation of minimization. With a need to deepen our collective understanding around the differences of culture as a focus to help us move towards the orientation of acceptance, we are asking you to tell us what material you would select for a PLN. (Although the focus is on our IDI group profile, you are strongly encouraged to take into consideration your individual IDI profile when making your decision.) The Google Form includes three choices. Please read each carefully and rate your choice preferences.
