We Live the Word!
From the Principal's Desk
Dear Father Doyle Families,
Happy April! With warmer, spring-like weather approaching and Easter coming soon, there is so much to be grateful for here at Father Doyle!
Firstly, our Annual Auction was a tremendous success! We had a great evening last Saturday, with over 180 people attending the dinner event at Quonset O and many others watching the concert and live auction virtually on Facebook. Overall, the Auction raised $31,821.59 for our school! This is well over our goal of raising $24,000, and we now have the funds needed to purchase a full set of new desks and chairs for both Mrs. Sheldon's and Mr. Godin's classrooms!
Thank you to everyone who attended, donated or bid on items, sponsored or gave to the fund in need, or helped out in any way, to our wonderful auctioneer Jack Martone, and to the welcoming staff at the Quonset O Club. Very special thanks to our auction committee, and especially to our auction chair, FJVD Marketing and Development Director Jennifer Marra. And of course, thank you to Fr. Woolley, Mrs. Burns, Mr. Mattias, and all the Ss. John and Paul Barn Band members for putting on a great performance. We hope to “see ya’ll" at next year's auction, Saturday March 25, 2023, again at Quonset O Club!
In addition, we're thrilled to be welcoming Mrs. Julie Coutu to Father Doyle School! Mrs. Coutu will be supporting the diverse academic needs of our students as a full-time resource provider for grades K-8. To learn more about Mrs. Coutu and this new position, click here. You can join Mr. Peloquin and Mrs. Coutu for a special edition of Coffee with the Principal on Tuesday, April 12th. More details and sign up information can be found here: https://bit.ly/PrincipalBreakfastRSVP
Lastly, we're getting ready to celebrate Reading Week next week! We've got a tremendous week planned April 4th - April 8th. You can see a brief calendar below, as well as full details in the Reading Week Flyer HERE.

Aluminum Can Tab Collection
What: Aluminum can tabs are being collected
Why: To support the Ronald McDonald House in Providence
How can you help? Save can tabs and send them in to Mr. Godin’s room.
Bottle Cap Drive
We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This provides new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply send in bottle caps or product codes from boxes of beverages and our school receives a donation.
All caps and codes should be sent to Mr. Godin. Codes will be entered on one account to gain larger and quicker donations.
Thank you!
