The primary goal of the program is to improve academic performance in the areas of Math and Language Arts. The secondary goal of the program is to improve the quality of life for students in the areas of need, including nutrition, emotional well-being, safety, and adult supervision.
Activities in Reading, Math, and STEAM Facilitated by Highly-Qualified Teachers
Read Naturally, Accelerated Reader, and Rocket Math are some of the programs teachers use with the students.
Students are Active Daily!
This year, Cardio-fit and Powerup Your School, are programs that provide activities for students that require minimal equipment.
Social-Emotional Learning is Highly-Valued
Teachers lead students through activities that teach social-emotional learning utilizing the Second STEP curriculum. Lessons alternate with the Too Good for Drugs curriculum.
