Spanish Class Activities
Students learn Spanish and the culture of different Hispanic countries with fun activities and enjoying some "pan dulce."
American French Festival Field Trip
Students in French class went to the American French Festival and got were lucky to meet one of the movie's main characters.
AP Environmental Science
AP Environmental Science is currently studying Land and Water Use. In this unit, students examine the effects of Mining on our land. The students had a fun time "Cookie Mining", they mined for chocolate chips and learned about the ecological and economic effects mining has on our environment.
Physics
The physics kids of Rowland High School did the egg drop challenge with a twist! They had to build an egg safety device to protect an egg from a 40 feet drop. The students were tested on their ability to make the lightest, most accurate, and most timely egg safety device. Many eggs were lost in the process, but it was worth it so that they could have a 99% success rate on drop day.
Water Polo takes first place in the Hacienda League Championship!
Congratulations to Girls Water Polo who have won their second consecutive Hacienda League Championship! Our raiders defeated walnut 12-10 to claim the title. They played Muir High School in the CIF-SS First Round of playoffs and defeated the Mustangs 9-3 to advance to the CIF-SS Second round.

CIEE Study Abroad Program
CIEE is extending the high school summer abroad scholarship deadline to March 1, 2023. Any student who completes their application between now and the deadline will automatically get entered to win flight vouchers of up $1,000! The sooner students complete their applications, the better their chances at a prize.

2023-2024 Leadership Applications
The 2023-2024 Leadership applications are now available for students to pick up in the ASB office until Tuesday, February 21st. There will be a mandatory election informational meeting on Tuesday, February 21st at lunch in the hideout where students will turn in their applications.
If you think you would be a good candidate to be in the leadership program for next school year, please go to the ASB Office to get some information. The positions are as follows: ASB President, ASB Vice President, Speaker of the House, Members at Large, Class President, Class Vice President, Class Secretary, Class Treasurer a,nd Class Historian.

๐ Senior Financial Aid Reminder ๐
- Complete the 2023-24 Financial Aid Application (FAFSA or CA Dream Act) to be considered for free money to help pay for college expenses. Get assistance daily in the College & Career Center, before school, during lunchtime, and after school, Monday/Tuesday/ Wednesday/Friday (7:45am-4pm) and Thursday (8:30am-4:45pm). The FAFSA and CADAA are due March 2nd.
