Why Music Education?

It was in middle school when I realized my passion for music. One day it occurred to me how much time I was spending at school, and how much I was enjoying it, and it was all because my love of music. My director set a great example and gave me lots of inspiration to excel in not only music, but also in my classes. Band class and after school jazz band gave me a reason to look forward to coming to school each day, which I had never felt before. I huge thing I just want is to be that person, to set an example, and give back to students all the things that made me thrive. For me, it's all about giving students the chance to feel excitement for music, and by doing that I will also gain; there's nothing better than being rewarded for doing something that you love.

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” ―Confucius
