A Note from Ms. Owens
Thank you for helping your students during this week's humidity. I'm glad to share that teachers have been taking their classes to the gym and that we've been able to turn on the HVAC in the church which has helped immensely!
Beginning today, families with students in 4th through 8th grades will be able to access ACT Aspire Summative scores. These are the scores from the tests that students took in the spring of 2019. The scores will be available via PowerSchool. (9/13 - I've added a button just below with directions for accessing scores.)
The induction ceremony for our new Student Council members will be held tomorrow following our regular 8:30 Mass and Adoration. Please remember that we are celebrating masses in the gym during renovation.
This weekend, there will be a bake sale to benefit the South West Special Recreation Association (SWSRA). Goods will be available for sale after all masses. Any donations (either monetary or baked goods) can be dropped off in the hallway of the Alexandria Center before mass.
To make access a bit easier, a link to the Virtual White Envelope has been added to the Charger Check-In just above the Upcoming Events section.
Thank you for all you do to support the St. Catherine community! Have a great rest of the week!
A Witness of Faith
Rebecca Fleckenstein shared her faith with those school parents present for Back to School Night. She has given permission to share this faith reflection with all school parents. Use Mrs. Fleckenstein's story to reflect on your faith and the example you set for your family.
Remember that the Archdioceses asks all parishes to report the number of parishioners attending Mass during October in order to measure a parish's faith vitality. I'm looking forward to seeing you at Mass.
If you do not order online, your child must give the completed envelope with exact payment to the photographer on Picture Day.
Tuesday Hot Lunch Ordering
Ordering for Tuesday Hot Lunch opened on September 3rd. The first hot lunch will be served on Tuesday, September 17th, and we are excited to that McDonald's has been added to our line up this year. In fact, they will be serving our very first hot lunch!
Ordering for next week will close at noon on Monday, September 16th. Be sure you have a confirmation email regarding your hot lunch order.
There will, of course, be days when parents have ordered a hot lunch and their child is absent. On those days, parents (or another designated person) are welcome to pick up the child's lunch. In order for this to happen, parents must notify the school of the hot lunch pick-up prior to 11 AM and then the actual lunch must be picked up before 12:30 PM. We cannot keep lunches beyond that or send them home with students due to food safety regulations
All families need to update their students' profile with their new classroom to ensure that lunches are delivered at the proper time and to the proper classroom table.
Morning Care and Extended Billing
Families who have registered for Morning Care and/or Extended Care will see the registration fee on their Smart Tuition invoice for October. The fee for one child is $25. The fee for two or more children is $50.
If you have questions about your bill, please contact Ms. Omiecinski.
