Olympian High School's CyberSecurity Team

On Nov 11, 2016 Olympian participated in its first CyperPatriot competition! On the first round, the team scored 147.5 out of 200 points

VEX Robotics Updates at Sweetwater Union HSD

Our district VEX League teams are making their mark as they try to get into the championship to be held on January 21st, 2016 at San Ysidro High School.

VEX Team Spotlight

iCARUS "The Rookie Team that HANGS!"

VEX Rookie team #97947A Icarus, from SUHSD Alternative Education came in 6th place out of 37 teams at Otay Ranch High's VEX Tournament held on Nov. 19, 2016.


The team was know by the team that hangs! because of their robot's mechanism to hang at the end of each match. They were also awarded a Judges Award because of their costumes, shirts, table booth, handouts, Design Notebook, PR, and overall gracious professionalism!

Sweetwater Science & Engineering Fair

Do you have an idea? Make it a reality at the Sweetwater Science and Engineering Fair. There are 16 different categories to participate, including Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, and Chemistry.


What are you waiting for? It takes only three steps; get a teacher advisor, work on your awesome idea, and present your project at the fair.


Sweetwater Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF) will take place on February 7, 2017 at Otay Ranch High School.

UCSD ENLACE Program

ENLACE is a summer bi-national program with participation from Baja California students and Hispanic students from San Diego county. Students are organized in pairs (one from each side of the border). They work together in research laboratories in the areas of Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, and the Biological Sciences across UCSD.

STEAM Maker Festival will take place at Del Mar Fair Grounds.

It is a collaborative venue for students, educators and professionals to demonstrate programs, projects, practices and resources that enrich STEAM education.
