A Message from Our Nurse

To MES parents/guardians:

Starting on October 25, 2021, the School Nurse will conduct vision and hearing screening for students in Grades 1, 3, 4, and 5 in the MES Health Office. Health screenings are important strategies to promote the health and wellness of students. They provide early detection of potential health concerns that could prevent students from taking full advantage of educational opportunities in school. Students who have eyeglasses should bring or wear them to school for vision screening.

You will receive a written referral if further evaluation by a physician is recommended. If you receive a referral, please ask the examining physician to fill out the form and return the form to the MES Health.

Please contact the School Nurse if you have any questions concerning hearing or vision screening.

Thank you.

Karen Kaplita, RN
