PTO News- A Letter from our President
As we are getting to the end of this school year we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all the parents and family members who have lended a helping hand throughout the year. All of our events and programs could not have happened without you. This year we were able to provide so many fun activities/events for our students, staff and families to enjoy thanks to all of your efforts. These include but are not limited to Jog-a-Thon, Friendsgiving, Kiss the Pig, Spelling Bee, STEM night, Art Smart Program, Art Gallery Night, Spirit Wear, Teacher Appreciation, Yearbook, Restaurant Nights, Teacher/Staff Requests, and Carnival. We hope we can continue to provide these benefits and much more for many years to come.
We will be having a few parents move on as their children are graduating into middle school. There are a couple of positions available that play a significant role in making our PTO successful.
If you are interested in becoming more involved with the PTO please reach out to us via email at marymacpto@gmail.com.
On a personal note it has come time for me to pass on the rewarding job of PTO President. It has been my pleasure to be a part of such an amazing school and organization. I have loved every minute of being involved and getting to know so many parents, families and staff members along the way. I can't thank everyone enough for all the support and help as my job would have been much harder if it wasn't for them. I encourage anyone who might be interested in taking on this role to reach out to the PTO so we can make a smooth transition into next school year.
Much Love,
Nicole Rose

Summer Splash Learning Opportunity
SUMMER SPLASH
What is Summer Splash?
-
Summer Splash is a 4 week program for currently enrolled students in West Ada School District. Summer Splash allows students to learn at home as they supplement their school year instruction and further refine their foundational skills, all while avoiding the "summer slide".
How can families be involved?
-
Families are encouraged to set aside learning time everyday for their student(s) from June 1 through July 1 to complete the i-Ready gameboard and participate in activities. Completion of the gameboard not only earns students some great prizes but also continues their learning throughout the summer. See how many times your student can "level up" before July 1st.
Parents will need to fill the form linked below by May 12th to OPT IN to keep their school issued device for their student over the summer.
News From the Library
- All books are due May 15-19.
- Devices are due May 22-26 (unless you are keeping your device for the Summer Splash).
- The Meridian Library District is hosting a lot of great summer reading events and incentives for students. You can read all about it here: Summer Reading MLD.

Parenting Tips
Love and Logic Parenting Tip #10:
Love & Logic One-Liners
Use one-liners when an explanation is either not necessary or it will only cause an argument.
Don’t be afraid to be a broken record.
Try these one-liners. Pick one or two that work for you and try them out.
“Nice try.”
“Probably so.”
“I love you too much to argue.”
“Could be.”
“It probably seems that way to you.”
“Aren’t you glad I don’t believe that?”
“Hope you get over that feeling. Love you lots.”
