Eagle Pride Day 2016
Students, staff, & families improving Algonquin
Pride Day 2016
This past Saturday was our best Eagle Pride day ever! A large number of students and several parents joined Algonquin staff members in making Eagle Pride Day extremely successful and very enjoyable.
In addition to pulling weeds and spreading mulch, we renovated a portion of our Media Center into a new Learning Commons, and assembled pedal desks for our fitness room. The results are stunning and the redesigned learning spaces are sure to appeal to students.
AMS Staff Makes It Happen
In another part of the building, we have removed several pieces of unused weight equipment and are in the process of creating a fitness area in which students will also be able to read and complete assignments. The first phase has been the addition of several pedal desks. Our goal is to have enough equipment that an entire class will be able to visit the fitness room to read, study, or even participate in a lesson.
Special Thanks
Hard Rock donated and installed quartz counter tops that give our new Learning Commons a classy look and feel. They also generously donated time and energy to assemble furniture. We could not have achieved such stunning (and functional results) without their help.
