Art this week...
Dragonflies, Year One, Grasshoppers and Fireflies.
Year ones...
This week in art , the year ones were taught all about watercolour paints and how much fun they can be. Looking to see how different they are to normal paints and how mixing all the colours together can create something so pretty! These have been stuck into their sketch books. All the children's sketch books will be out for you to look at during our Art Show!
Reception children...
They have had so much fun today! We spent lots of time looking at primary and secondary colours. We looked at how they can be mixed together to make some wonderful colours!
We also worked on our drawing. Learning how to break objects down into shapes to make them much easier to draw. Lots of wonderful work!

Grasshoppers
Using word as texture. This weeks lesson was following on from the last few weeks where we have been looking at texture in art. But this time we had to use the words we found in a poem as the texture for a picture! Lots of wonderful ideas!
The poem was by Rudyard Kipling and it was called The way through the woods.
