SPIRIT WEEK 10/25 - 10/29
Classroom Parties
In order to minimize risk of exposure, but still allow for school sponsored events, the following protocols must be followed for classroom parties. This includes bringing in something for the whole class such as for a birthday.
If parents/students bring anything in for a classroom party, these procedures must be followed:
Items must be brought in 3 days prior to the day of the party.
Anything brought in after will not be handed out and either be thrown away or sent back home with the student
Teachers will quarantine items for those 3 days
Food/drinks must be commercially prepared and individually pre-packaged
Please avoid foods that need refrigeration or need to be frozen
Only staff will hand out items to students after the items have been quarantined
Staff will sanitize before and after touching items and/or wear gloves
Volunteers/visitors are not permitted to join parties based on safety measures
*These procedures may change but at this point this is what we will be following. Thank you for your support and following these procedures.

COVID Information
Drop off and Pick up procedures
- Students are not to be on campus or dropped off before 8:27am. (Gates will not open until 8:30am.)
- Adults are to stay in vehicles. (The only exception would be if you needed to buckle a student in a car seat.)
- Have students exit on the passenger side for safety reasons
- When dropping off/picking up you must go through the drop off line. Don’t park off to the side of the street or in a parking space and have your child walk to or from your car.
- Pull up to the furthest Drop off/Pick up Zone.
- There are 3 drop off and pick up locations (See table below for the location of the classroom teacher.)
If there are multiple siblings they will be dropped off at the location of the youngest sibling. Students would then walk directly to their classrooms. This means they may be walking across our campus and that is OK.
- For safety reasons, if a student walks to school they will go to the closest drop off location so as NOT to walk on 62.
Again, we want to thank you for supporting us with this.
Bussing
On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday our school gets out at 3:25pm, however our buses will get to campus between 3:45-3:55pm. On Wednesdays our school get out at 1:30pm and buses are scheduled to arrive on campus between 2:40-2:50. Students who ride the bus will be supervised by an instructional assistant while they wait.
Please be in contact with transportation (541-830-1245) if you have any questions about pickup or drop off times. Bus routes are also located on our district website under transportation.

IPAD INSURANCE
iPad insurance is $25 per student. It may be paid through ParentVue or by sending check or cash to school with your scholar. We highly recommend this insurance. You never know when an accident is going to happen. If you have not paid the insurance then you will be responsible for the cost to fix or replace the iPad.
IPad insurance is an annual fee. If you had insurance for the 2020-21 school year it is still effective until September 7, 2021. During the 2021-2022 school year, EPSD9 will continue to offer optional iPad insurance to students and families. The annual insurance will be effective from September 7, 2021-September 6, 2022. The cost for the insurance is $25.00. Without insurance, students will be responsible for all repair or replacement costs. If your student did not have iPad insurance for the 2020-21 school year, students will need to bring their iPad to the office to verify the condition of the iPad prior to acceptance of your insurance payment. Please click on this link for more information on iPad Insurance.
