Students and Staff come together in Sources of Strength
Wednesday and Thursday, staff and students were trained to become Adult Advisors and Peer Leaders in Sources of Strength. This nationally recognized, researched based suicide prevention program has been in place at WPHS for 4 years. Together, Peer Leaders and Adult Advisors work to spread HOPE, HELP and STRENGTH in the community. Through recognition of stressors in life and normalizing the 3 big emotions that are manifested when these stressors come at us, we share the stories of how we find STRENGTH through our Positive Friends, Families, Mentors, Healthy Activities, Spirituality, Generosity, Mental Health and Physical Health. Look for us as we promote STRENGTH in ourselves, each other, and our community.
