Laurelton-Pardee News
January 15, 2015
Welcome.
Dear LP Families:
Winter is here! Please be sure to send your child to school ready to play outside. On days that students have recess, they will play outside as long as the temperature (and wind chill) are above 20 degrees. If you have extra boots and snow gear, you may consider having your child leave it in his/her gear here.
Our students finished up their reading and math tests this week, except for a few make-ups. We will move on to our QUICK benchmarking assessments in reading and math for next week. This next round of assessments takes 60 seconds for reading and 8 minutes for the math.
Enjoy this long weekend with your families as we celebrate the impact and legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. with a day off of school on Monday.
Sincerely,
Lucas Hiley
Principal

If I could go anywhere, I would go to Italy.
I keep healthy by NOT eating chocolate. I try not to anyway!
Last summer I camped with my family in the Adirondack Mountains.
When I am not at LP I am driving my kids (Jayden 14 and Amaya 10) to after-school activities and sporting events.
Right now I am reading The Outlander Series #6
If I had a magic wand, I would change my age. I would like to be much younger!
