Save The Date! WSU's next Blood Drive is scheduled for Wed. Sept. 25th from 10-4 in Sheehan Multi-Purpose Room.
The American Red Cross has an urgent need for blood and platelet donors of all blood types. Right now, blood and platelet donations are being distributed to hospitals as fast as they come in. Patients are counting us to help meet their needs.

Packages can be picked up in the Mail Center. You will receive an email from WSU when your package has arrived and been logged into the campus system - the email will include pickup information. The Mail Center can be found on the 1st Floor of the LRC*129 during the hours of 7:30am to 3:00pm. The Mail Center is not open holidays or weekends.
Regular USPS mail (non-packages) will be available for pickup in the Residence Life & Housing Office (Sheehan Hall*101), remember to check-in regularly as receipt notifications are not sent out.
Placement Testing Changes
The Academic Success Center will now offer all PLACEMENT testing by appointment only. Appointments for placement testing in Math, English, and Foreign Languages can be booked using the online scheduler available at the link below:

If you are student with a documented disability and would like to request accommodations for placement testing you must submit a request to Student Accessibility Services. The Director of Student Accessibility Services may review your supporting disability documentation first in order to approve any placement test accommodations. Wellness Center Waiver
The Recreation & Wellness Team at the Wellness Center are getting excited to see you back this fall. Before your first visit back to the Wellness Center/DeFeudis Fitness Center please be sure to follow these steps to complete your liability waiver*;
-Go to wellnesscenterportal.worcester.edu
-Click Log In at the top right
-Choose the WSU LOG IN button
-Use your Worcester State University credentials
-You will then be automatically redirected back to the Wellness Center Portal
-The waiver of liability will automatically appear, if not, there will be an alert/notification at the top right to complete the Liability Waiver
-Read, and complete the waiver with your signature
-Click into the signature box at the bottom (left side)
-Using your mouse, mouse-pad, or finger on touchscreen/mobile device sign your name
-Click Sign Now after you have returned to the full Liability Waiver and you see your signature recorded
This will save you time and unnecessary frustration upon your return. If it is not completed prior to your first visit, our system will prompt you upon entry ultimately delaying your workout/access.
*The waiver will only need to be completed once per academic year.

Free Women's Self Defense Class

The FREE women's self defense class sponsored by University Police is back! Learn the skills to protect yourself. Taught by licensed members of the WOO State Community utilizing the internationally recognized RAD System of Self-Defense. Come fight like a girl!

Agnes M. Lindsay Scholarship
WSU Financial Aid Office can submit applications for this scholarship for the 2019/2020 academic year. If you are a permanent resident of a rural area (15,000 or fewer inhabitants) in Massachusetts and meet the other criteria listed below please visit the Financial Aid Office for an application.
The deadline to submit an application to the FAO is October 11, 2019.
The Agnes M. Lindsay Scholarship provides scholarships for students with demonstrated financial need who are from rural areas of Massachusetts and attend public institutions of higher education within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Who Is Eligible to apply?
A student enrolled in an eligible program and meeting the following requirements:
-Be a permanent legal resident of Massachusetts for at least one year prior to the opening of the academic year and be a U.S. citizen or a non-citizen eligible under Federal Title IV regulations.
-Be in compliance with state law regarding Selective Service Registration.
-Not be in default of any Federal or State Loan for attendance at any institution nor owe a refund for any previous financial aid received.
-Provide evidence of documented financial need as measured by a federally approved system of needs analysis (complete the 2019/2020 FAFSA process).
-Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in an eligible program as defined by the institution.
-Be maintaining satisfactory academic progress according to institutional standards, with at least an annual review.
-Be a permanent resident of a Massachusetts "rural" area (15,000 or fewer inhabitants).
