Christ Child Academy Newsletter
April 18, 2019
From the Desk of Mr. Ruedinger
Easter, as we know, is the celebration of Christ’s resurrection from the dead. It is celebrated on Sunday, and marks the end of Holy Week, and the end of Lent. It is the beginning of the Easter season of the liturgical year. Easter represents the fulfillment of God’s promises to mankind, it is the most important holiday on the Christian calendar. We thank the 8th grade class and Mrs. Meyer for their performance of the Living Last Supper today. They have invested many hours in planning and organizing this wonderful CCA tradition.
There will be no school on Friday, April 19 but there will be school on Monday, April 22.
Registration for the 2019-2020 school year is now open to all new families on a first come, first serve basis.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. In addition to the efforts throughout the year, the Archdiocese of Milwaukee has always recognized the importance of Child Abuse Prevention Month in April. This year, the Archdiocese has also designated April 29th - May 5th as Safe Environment Week. In doing so, we can assure that every parish and school, as well as the entire faith community, focuses on the importance of keeping our children and youth safe. You can find more information about Child Abuse Prevention Month on the Archdiocese’s website at Safeguarding April 2019.
Congratulations to Mrs. Emily Hoffmann as she and her husband Devon are expecting their first child come September! With this news, this will be Mrs. Hoffmann's last year teaching as she has resigned from her kindergarten position to stay home and be with her baby. We wish them all the best!
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Erika Gould has accepted the position of kindergarten teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.

Safeguarding All God's Family
If parents or grandparents plan to participate in field trips, work in the lunchroom, coach, or help out at school, you must attend a Safeguarding All God’s Family training through the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. You must register on-line at www.archmil.org and indicate you are associated with Christ Child Academy. If you have not previously been trained, now is a great time to attend a session.
Box Tops for Education
CCA can earn money from clipping Box Tops found on various products. When you buy items, simply clip the Box Top and bring it to CCA. The Box Tops are submitted, and our school receives a check which is used towards our activity fund. It’s another easy way for you to help the school by purchasing the products you already use! Enlist your family, friends and neighbors to collect the Box Tops, too.
CCA Family Camping Weekend
The CCA Family Camping weekend is scheduled at Kohler Andre State Park for September 27th, 28th, and 29th of 2019 . Camping sites can be booked 11 months out, so reserve your spot now as they fill up quickly! If you have any questions, please email Nick Reinl at nick.reinl@larrysco.com.
