(Start of Crisis thru April 30) and (May 1 thru End of School Year).
CORE class teachers report the status of each student as ENGAGED, UNENGAGED or NOT CONTACTABLE.

#1LISD Voice Remote Learning Time Capsule
We have an exciting opportunity for your staff and students to engage in a reflective and creative process for authentic audiences. Next week we will launch the #1LISD VOICE Remote Learning Time Capsule! We are asking for submissions from all interested students (from PK to seniors), teachers, or staff that would like to participate. This is a great opportunity to help students and staff recognize that they are truly a part of our living history and that their voices matter.
Here are some talking points that we are asking for you to include in communication with your staff, students and parents:
Years from now, you will look back and remember 2020 as the year you finished the school year at home. We want to provide all of our students and staff with an opportunity to creatively reflect upon and express their experiences during this emergency remote learning time.
You’re invited to create an artifact and upload your experiences to be a part of history in our 1st Virtual Sharing our #1LISD VOICE Remote Learning Time Capsule!
We want your written, drawn, painted, built, or videoed reflections on our time at home while learning together! This project will be a gathering point for LISD’s staff, students and community collective histories, narratives, images, records, art, and other forms of response to the impacts of COVID-19.
Click HERE for more information and to submit your artifact.
Technology Support Needed...
Counselor Corner
If you haven't already, please take a few minutes to submit your feedback about students who may be in need of individual/group services at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. Your feedback will help me begin group services quickly rather than waiting for next year's teachers to get to know their students and understand their needs. Please submit your feedback by Friday, May 29th. Thank you!

Akin Aviators
Here is the direct link to the teacher bundle/school shirt-required for each employee at Akin:
https://www.akinelementarypta.org/product-page/akin-teacher-staff-bundle
The black t-shirt is the one to buy for our campus t-shirt.
It is listed for $25 (in case anyone who is NOT a teacher or staff member tries to buy the bundle), but we've created a coupon code for y'all to use. When entered at checkout, the bundle will become $20--their order total will show a discount of $5. The coupon code is "STAFF2020". It will only work if the bundle is added to the cart.
