All Normandy Students to Attend Classes Online Nov. 30 & Dec. 1

To help mitigate an anticipated holiday surge in COVID-19 cases, all Normandy students will attend classes online November 30 & December 1, the first two days back from Thanksgiving break.


  • All district buildings will be closed on Nov. 30 & Dec. 1; no students or staff will report to district buildings on these days and will work/attend classes remotely.
  • Teachers will send login information to students who are enrolled for in-person classes.
  • Students who have enrolled to attend classes in-person (and district staff) will return to buildings on Wed., Dec. 2.


During the Thanksgiving Break, please keep in mind the following COVID-19 safety precautions:

  • Please stay away from large crowds and limit gatherings to no more than 10 people.

  • Please continue to practice healthy habits such as wearing a mask when in public and in buildings, washing hands thoroughly and often, and using hand sanitizer throughout the day.

  • And if you are not feeling well, please stay home.


And remember, the district will be closed for Thanksgiving Break, Nov. 25-27.

Normandy COVID-19 Data Dashboard Now Online

Normandy has developed a data dashboard to help update the community on the numbers of COVID-19 diagnoses within schools and buildings. The dashboard will be updated weekly.

Reminder - Late Start for NHS Monday, Nov. 30

There will a late start on Monday, November 30 for Normandy High School students. This information is also included on the district academic calendar.


The adjusted schedule allows for teachers and staff to participate in professional development workshops and sessions.

Families Can Receive District Communications Via Text Message

If families would like to receive district communications via text message, please text 'Y' or 'Yes' to 67587. Answer the question and you're in. Parents will be able to receive important district announcements on any mobile device. (Text messaging rates may apply.)

No Grab & Go Meal Distribution Nov. 26 & 30

Due to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and all online schedule Nov. 30, there will be no food distributions on Thursday, Nov. 26, and Monday, Nov. 30. This includes the regular Grab & Go Meals typically distributed on Mondays and Thursdays at selected schools and apartment complexes.


The Grab & Go meals will resume on Wed., Dec. 2 at the regular school sites and apartment complexes.

No Friday Free Food Giveaway Nov. 27

Due to the district being closed for the Thanksgiving break, there will be no weekly food giveaway Friday, November 27 at Normandy High School.


The food giveaway is scheduled to resume on Friday, Dec. 4.

JEGB Meeting

Monday, Dec. 14th, 6pm

This is an online event.

The meeting will take place via Zoom. The link will be posted on the website calendar the day of the meeting.
