Homecoming Schedule
Homecoming week and off campus classes pose a few challenges. Here is the expectation for students of off campus classes who wish to attend North High School festivities:
1. Follow their normal schedule. This means, even though we are having shortened classes Thursday and Friday, the buses and off campus classes will run like normal. So, students may have to leave in the middle of a class period at North to attend a class off campus. This may mean you may also be late. If you are late, stop in the office and see Marge.
2. If you are missing an off campus class to attend the parade or pep rally, please stop in the office and sign in with Marge in Attendance. We will mark your absence from off campus as a student activity. This will exempt you from consequences. You will still be required to make up any missed work/learning.
3. Wall to Wall students will depart early on a shuttle to return for events. We are still looking into the time of that bus.
Below are the schedules for next week:
Wednesday, October 16
Normal Bell Schedule
Dismiss to Homerooms at 1:55 am
After attendance move to gym
Text and Drive All School Assembly 2:10-2:55 PM
Thursday, October 17 (Parade)

Opt'l Lunch 12:38 - 12:55
* Buses will run at normal times. Student are encouraged to attend the parade, but may walk or acquire a ride home. Otherwise, all students must remain in the commons.
Friday, October 18 (Pep Rally)
1st 7:55-8:50
Pep Assembly 8:50 - 10:05
2nd 10:10 - 11:21
Back to a typical schedule
*** North Middle will have their pep assembly at 1:15 pm. Expect some absences due to that event.
Students with Off Campus Classes:
We will run their normal schedule and we are expecting them to attend class. For students in the Wall to Wall Academy, we have requested that the North students who want to return for the pep rally be dismissed early.

Weekly Strategy Challenge - Practice This Strategy In Class!
Strategy - SHOW ME
Fist to Five - Students use their fingers to give a rating of understanding the question from 0 (fist) understanding to 5 complete understanding.
Thumbs Up/Down - Students give a thumbs up or down for understanding or agreement type questions.
ASL - Have you ever had a great flow in classroom discussion only to be interrupted by a student you call on say, "Can I go to the bathroom?"? What if we teach our students basic ASL (American Sign Language) so we can keep the flow going without having to interrupt instruction. For example, if you see a student signing "restroom", a teacher signs back approval or not, and the student signs back "thank you."
