New and Exciting Expansion on the Horizon

The school board's decision to merge the Virtual Learning Academy with Success Academy for the 2022-2023 school year is a new and exciting adventure for us. Our new families will no doubt be welcomed into the family of Success Academy. We will continue to provide the personalized and connected approach to education as we have done since 2018. We are working now to fully integrate both programs into one AMAZING educational structure for students who desire a nontraditional, personalized pathway to earning a high school diploma. We will continue to offer our in-person instruction for students who are over age and under credited. Our credit perks will remain in place as they are now, however students will be able to access more virtual learning options.

We need your input as we expand our these virtual options. We are asking all family members to complete the family survey listed below to tell us what you like about our current program. Your voice is necessary and valued. Please take a moment to complete the survey.

FCPS 2021-22 Family Survey

The 2021-22 Family Survey is now open! You may have received an email earlier this week from Fayette County Public Schools or K12 Insight asking you to complete the 2021-22 Family Survey. This short survey is important for sharing your child’s experience at school and informing decisions that impact their education. Please take a moment to complete the survey if you have not already: https://survey.k12insight.com/r/21-22-Fayette-FamilySurvey.

Spectrum News Casting High School Students

Kate Post, Senior Producer for Spectrum News is casting a trivia game show airing nationally on Spectrum News. They are searching for high school Juniors and Seniors who are interested in national and world news. Topics ranging from current events, politics, science, technology, wellness sports, and pop culture are just some of the categories that will be featured on “The Spectrum News Challenge”.

They are looking for students from local high schools to compete against students from another school in a different state. GPA isn't as important as them having an outgoing personality and an interest in national and world news headlines.

Below is a link to the casting information and submission form along with a 2:30 minute preview video of the show.

Please share this with our students and if anyone is interested, please notify the office.

How To Report A Positive Case

Under state law, families should notify their child’s school within 24 hours of learning the child has tested positive for COVID-19. FCPS employees who test positive must also inform the district. Fayette County Public Schools has established a COVID-19 Hotline for processing these notifications, which must be submitted to the Kentucky Department for Public Health.

Please choose one of these three ways to alert FCPS:

Families and staff may also email the COVID-19 team for follow-up phone contact to gather additional information or to address any questions.
