Global Economy
What goods come from what countries? Students in Mrs. Miller’s fifth-grade class at North Elementary have been making global connections and learning about the global economy with their Adopt-A-Class partner, Stephanie Fletcher, CPA.
Thank you OFPD
Finley River School students visited the Ozark Fire Protection District Feb. 12 to show their appreciation. Firemen shared how rewarding a career in public service can be and students gained an understanding of how the department copes with the stress and trauma of the career.
Prize Patrol
South Elementary second-grade student Payton Stoneking was the January winner for the perfect attendance Prize Patrol. Every month, students with perfect attendance are entered in a drawing to have the Prize Patrol deliver pizza to their house for the entire family.
Stain lab
OJH students in Mrs. Brockmeier's Design Fundamentals class participated in a stain lab in class on Feb. 8. What is best to get tough stains out of cotton?

DECA students heading to State
Congratulations to the OHS students who competed at the DECA District 11 Career Development Conference Feb. 11. A total of 83 Ozark students competed against 15 surrounding schools, which totaled nearly 500 business and marketing students. Ozark students continue to excel in this competition, with 58 students recognized as qualifiers or medalists. A total of 31 Ozark students qualified for the State Career Conference, which is March 24-26 in Kansas City.
Winter Guard Festival
Ozark hosted the MCCGA Winter Guard Festival Feb. 9 with 48 competitive winter guards. Ozark’s JV Guard placed second in their division and Ozark’s Varsity Guard placed sixth. Congratulations! The next competition will be Feb. 23 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Good luck!
State Wrestling Championships
Good luck to Wyatt Snyder, Clayton Moison and Elijah Maskrod who are competing this weekend at the Missouri State Wrestling Championships.

Happy Valentine's Day!
On Feb. 8, 27 OHS and OJH students participated in a math competition at OTC Richwood Valley. The event, which included 207 students from 15 area schools, consisted of four tests (two individual and two team). Five Ozark students placed at the event and, to date, 12 Ozark students have qualified for state competition in April.

ICAP is a time for OJH and OHS students and their parents to meet with advisory teachers and collectively discuss classes that best fit with the student's future goals.
Parents should have received an email from their student's advisory teacher to sign up for a time. If you did not, contact your child's school counselor.
