School Closure Updates

03/18/2020

Dear Diamond View Family,

I know there is a great deal of uncertainty in our District, our community, and our world, and we are working hard to provide solid information to you and all our families. What we do know for sure is that school is closed until April 14th starting tomorrow 3/19/2020. As educators, we are really struggling with this, but as community members, we understand the importance of it. What we wish for you is that you continue learning and growing academically. We do not want to see the learning stop because schools are closed.

Our staff has compiled a list of optional activities, worksheets, websites, etc. that you can use during this break. We will continue to add to this list. We would like to invite all students to please log into their school Google accounts and join our schoolwide Google Classroom. Here you will find resources available in all subject areas and will be able to challenge yourself and continue your education.

Students- Log into your Google Account (###@susanvillesd.org) your password is the same as your login password when you use the Chromebooks at school.

Spectrum is offering a student remote learning internet offer for families that do not have internet access. Please call 1-844-488-8398 to inquire about setting this up.

We also have used Chromebooks available for students who have no access to a laptop, desktop, or tablet. Please email or call Mrs. Heimbigner directly (dheimbigner@susanvillesd.org or 257-5144) to inquire about borrowing one from the school.

We hope you have a safe and healthy break and look forward to returning to our normal operations.

If we can be of any assistance during this difficult time, please do not hesitate to ask for help. I will continue to provide you with the most updated information on a more frequent basis as we move forward together through this challenging time. Please follow our website and Facebook site https://www.facebook.com/diamondviewmiddleschool/ for up to date information.

With much DVLOVE,

- Mrs. Heimbigner
