Swan Valley Robotics Team
If you are, you should join the Swan Valley Robotics team. Robots are all around us. They’re used in many different professions such as manufacturing, transportation, and skilled trades. Today’s robotics members are tomorrow’s designers and programmers. Knowledge in these fields is not required to join. The team will offer help in training members how to perform tasks such as programming and tool use. For those interested in colleges, this program is right for you. First Robotics offers many scholarships to colleges all over. Links to some of these offers will be found at the bottom of this page. These scholarships are not given automatically. Participation is required of members. Competitions are composed of qualifying matches and finalists matches. Each year there is a different game, and a new robot design that must be fabricated to meet the challenge. Please check out SVHS Robotics Schedule below.

From The Bird's Nest
Seniors....as of today, only nine of 29 TIP eligible students have completed and submitted the FAFSA (which is required). Remember, those TIP students can attend a school such as Delta College nearly cost free if they submit the FAFSA before March 1, 2023. Those who don't submit the FAFSA pay all costs out of pocket. This should be an easy decision to make. If you have any questions or need a refresher on TIP, see Mr. Bird ASAP.
Seniors…..for those of you who are interested in pursuing some amazing scholarship opportunities through the Saginaw Community Foundation, be sure to pre-register for the SCF Scholarship Workshops to be held on Tuesday, December 6 during periods 1, 2 and 3. You must pre-register with Mrs. McLellan in Mr. Bird’s office before the December 6 program.
