Message from Mr. Manfre
Dear Families of Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders ~
We will officially begin our recorder unit the week of February 8, 2016.
Students will need:
*A folder to safely keep their music
*A pencil and eraser
*A recorder*
Please help your student(s) remember his/her materials on the following days:
Miss Mehlberg:
Tuesday
Friday
Although it is not necessary for students to purchase a recorder of their own, it is recommended so that they have an opportunity to practice between lessons. If you are interested in purchasing a recorder, please ask for a soprano recorder with Baroque/English fingering. Two places in town that have appropriate recorders are:
*Fenton’s Open Book – 629.8000
*A Joyful Noise Music Studio – 373.4030
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 591.1524 or email me at
amanfre@fentonschools.org with “recorder” in the subject line.
Thank you for supporting music in our schools.

Extra Technology Time
Tuesdays: 8:00 am-8:35 am, during lunch, and 3:35 pm-4:15 pm
Thursdays: 8:00 am-8:35 am, during lunch, and 3:35 pm-4:15 pm
Please make sure that if your child chooses to stay after school, that they have a way to get home at or before 4:15 pm.
If possible, please let me know if your child will be utilizing these times. I will do my best to let your know in advance if there is a day where the technology will not be available outside of the normal classroom times. If students have a sub, these times will not be available nor will the technology.
Spelling Reminders
*Student's weekly homework is to define each of their spelling words and use it in a sentence. Students can either write their assignment on paper or fill out the document on Google Classroom. Assignments are due by the end of the school day on Friday (unless otherwise noted in students' planners).
