Center Township Weekly Update
November 4, 2022
Greetings CT Families
An elementary school is the best place to experience seasonal festivities! Center Township Elementary School was a flurry of fun activities this week on Halloween with smiling faces everywhere. Students excitedly brought their costumes to school to dress up for their classroom fall parties. Each homeroom celebrated in style with harvest themed games, crafts and food thanks to the PTO family members and volunteered who organized the fun in each class.

Spring Math
This year, our students are participating in a program called Spring Math. Spring Math is a tool designed to promote growth in math for all learners. Spring Math includes working with math partners, practicing solving problems together, correcting errors and misunderstandings, playing brief games, and trying to beat a goal for improved performance each day.
Below are math partners working together in Mrs. Srock’s classroom checking each other’s work and discussing solutions.
Learning is Fun!!
Third grade students used the engineering design process in STEAM class to create a parachute after reading the book Otter in Space by Sam Garton. Mrs. Wilson launched the parachutes, from Mrs Geibel’s class, off of the playground equipment to test each group’s model. The winning parachute took 1.81 seconds to land. This parachute was created by Zella, Colton, Peyton, and Zayden.
