Rotaract Club of Edmonton
April 2016
What have we been up to this month?
Below are a few snapshots of our activity this month.
Annual End Polio Walk
Our members had an opportunity to participate in the annual Polio Walk in an effort to raise awareness and money to eradicate polio. With the help of Interactors, Rotaractors and Rotarians, we raised $10 000 which will be matched 2-1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and 2-1 by the Canadian Government, making the total $50 000! We are truly [THIS] close to the eradication of Polio!
Rotary Club of Edmonton turns 100!
Members of the Rotaract Club of Edmonton had the opportunity to attend and celebrate one of our sponsoring clubs’ centennial year. Our members had a wonderful opportunity to make connections with members from our sponsoring Club, Rotary Club of Edmonton and with other Rotarians from District 5370. The Rotary Club of Edmonton announced their centennial year projects – Boys and Girls Club Big Brothers Big Sisters and YMCA Northern Alberta.

Coming up...
Love wine? Be in for a chance to win lots of it and do good at the same time!
Help needed!
Teaming up with ‘Lady Flower Gardens’ and under the guidance of one of our Rotaractors, we will be growing fresh food from seed in our own allotment. Harvested produce will be donated to the local food bank to help support local families.
In order to ensure we grow a successful crop, we will be needing many volunteers and some gardening equipment! If you can help us out in any way, please get in touch.
Fancy coming and joining a team of friendly people who want to make a difference in their community?
However, we are involved in different projects and events most weeks. We always welcome new members.
