Principal's Message
We are now officially into the second half of the trimester, which brings an even more increased focus on students success in their classes. We highly encourage students to maintain communication and dialogue with their teachers as we get closer to the end of the trimester. In addition, we also encourage parents and guardians to work closely with their students on how to positively advocate for themselves and their needs. Together, we can help our students reach their potential. Thank you for your support!
Have a great weekend, and Go Bowmen!

Halloween at SHS
Students are welcome to come to school on Friday, October 29th, wearing their Halloween costume. This is a fun tradition at SHS and we support students in celebrating this holiday with their costume if they choose to do so.
To ensure that this day maintains an inclusive and respectful environment on this day, here are our school guidelines when selecting costumes that will be worn at school:
Students need to be identifiable and visible to ensure safety. Face masks, coverings, or make-up that results in staff being unable to identify students should not be worn. Full face masks are not allowed and masks for Covid-19 prevention are still to be worn.
Costumes that are provocative, revealing, sexual in nature or employ questionable props will not be permitted on school grounds.
Costumes that depict violence, alcohol or drugs are not appropriate. Fake weapons should not be brought to school.
Costumes that could be offensive or perpetuate a stereotype of someone’s culture, gender, heritage, religion, or other aspects of personal identity are not permitted.
Thank you for following these guidelines and supporting our school community in maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
