Lovejoy Orchestra Newsletter
November 3, 2016
Parents,
We are looking forward to some cooler weather heading our way since every class is busy working on Holiday music for our next performance at the Fine Arts Festival on Saturday, December 3rd. The orchestra concert will start with the SCIS Beginner Orchestra, then the WIllow Springs Orchestras and finish with the High School Groups. The concert will begin at noon, we will let you know when musicians need to arrive in a few weeks!
The high school groups have been focusing on tone quality and right hand technique. We have been discussing bow lane, bow weight, bow speed and tilting of the bow to achieve more accurate dynamics with good tone quality.
Our next spirit night is coming up on Tuesday, November 8th at Raising Cane's on Stacy Road. Mention Lovejoy orchestra at checkout and the booster club will receive a portion of the sale!
Have a wonderful weekend!
