President, Rebecca Cassidy Hammontree, Pi:
Happy Holidays!
I am so excited because December is my favorite month.
I think the best part of this holiday is sitting in the dark looking at twinkling lights. It immediately provides me with a sense of calm. I am inspired by baking, wrapping, and of course, shopping!
I hope you take some time to figure out what inspires you. With so many holidays available in the month of December, I encourage you to partake in some sort of volunteerism, practicing a tradition, or planning an activity with your family and friends. Even with our differences, we can agree that December provides us with many opportunities to get together - even if it has to be on zoom!
On that note - if you have an interest in being our newest President, please reach out!
2021 could be your year!
Take care and seasonal blessings to you all.

Delegates, Alternate Delegates, Presidents, and Treasurers,
2020 has been a challenging year for everyone and especially difficult for our collegians. Since we, the Greater Kansas City Alumnae Panhellenic, were not able to hold our annual Woman of the Year & Scholarship Brunch this past April, we lost the opportunity to have our largest scholarship fundraising event of the year. Now, we are playing catch-up and working on ways to grow our fund so that we can increase the number and amount of scholarships we can award in 2021.
We have developed what we hope is an easy way to raise a lot of money for our fund! On Tuesday, December 1, we will have a Day of Giving. We are asking sisters to consider giving $20.20 or more in a tax-deductible gift.
Donations can be made for this special event by:
· Credit Card - through our link at the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation - Scholarship Fund Donation Page
OR
· Check - as follows:
Payable To: Greater Kansas City Community Foundation
Memo Line: GKCAP Scholarship Fund OR grea14
Mail To: GKCCF; 1055 Broadway Blvd., Ste 130; Kansas City, MO 64105
Please share the attachment or link provided below with your associations or clubs. You can also share with sisters who live across the country who want to help support our local Kansas City collegians! We will be providing updates throughout the day on our Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/KCPanhellenic.
We are going big with a goal of $5,000 for our Scholarship Fund! We are so incredibly pleased to announce that we will start the day working toward reaching our first $1,000 so that we may receive a very generous matching gift of $1,000 from Sherry Forsee, Alpha Chi Omega.
We could not be more appreciative of your love and support! Please share, share, share, Panhellenic sisters. Let’s work together to make an impact!
Thank you,
GKCAP Fundraising Committee
