Leonardo da Vinci's Top Inventions.

My Favorite Inventions
Aerial Screw
Much like the modern helicopter. The way da Vinci intended for the Aerial Screw to work turning the blades very fast (which were supposed to be made out of linen) and that would produce lift. Air pressure would have built up under each blade, forcing the flying machine into the sky. This is just how modern airplanes and helicopters work.
Armored Tank
Was to be driven by the human power of eight men. It was operated by a system of gears propelled by cranks that turned a sequence of wheels. It also was to have 36 guns. It would have been the ultimate war machine at the time you would have a bunch of guns, and you would be protected by the armor. The diagram of the armored tank in da Vinci's notebooks contains a curious flaw: the gearing causes the front wheels to move in the opposite direction from the rear wheels. If built as shown, the tank would have been unable to move.
Flying Machine
Da Vinci's flying machine was also calledd the Ornithopter. It was designed after birds because da Vinci was fascinated by them. It was supposed to be for humans to be able to soar in the air like birds which would make the Ornithopter much like the modern day hangglider. I like this because it is like a modern invention and also because I like flying.
