Feature Story: Thank you to our Volunteers!!
We have 20 plus parents, grandparents and community members coming to the elementary on a weekly basis to help our students with academic work as well as other things. It is such a pleasure to work side by side with these volunteers, that we would like to highlight each and everyone one in future editions of the Weekly Buzz, so look for these special people in future editions.
If you have an interest to touch the lives of our elementary students in a positive way, please stop at the office to complete Volunteer Paperwork and we will get you started.
Thank you again to all of our Volunteers!!!
Principal's Pride
It is my pleasure to acknowledge Lauryn Goettl, Blake Irwin, & Keianna Cooksey for demonstrating positive and helpful attitudes at school. Lauryn is always wearing a smile, she can turn a negative into a positive and move forward with determination! She is a great role model for her classmates! Thanks Lauryn!! Blake shows enthusiasm for reading and looks out for the well being of his friends. Thanks Blake!! Keianna is always helpful to her classmates and her teacher. She offers to lend a hand before thinking about herself. Thank you so much Keianna!! Mrs. Goettl

Music Room News - 4th graders are rocking the recorder!
The 4th grade music students have had a chance to explore a whole new instrument this year—the recorder. For the past couple months, students have been learning to read notes on the musical staff and play songs on the recorders. 4th graders are working on a program called recorder karate, which challenges students to move from simple to more difficult songs, earning recorder karate “belts” along the way. Students have been working in groups to practice recorder karate songs and have done a great job of working together and helping each other out!

Their next tournament is on Saturday November 12th in Elk Mound. Good Luck

6th Graders Interested in Junior High Wrestling
Dear Parents or Guardians,
Wrestling season is upon us once again. The coaching staff is looking forward to another successful season of Cadott wrestling. I would like to invite your child to participate in junior high wrestling. Practice starts on November 16th at 3:30. In order for students to participate they will need to have a physical, signed athletic code, signed W.I.A.A. form, signed Concussion form and a concussion impact test. These materials can be picked up in the high school office and returned back to the high school office.
Wrestling practices are held from 3:30-5:30 in the high school wrestling room.
Singlets, jump ropes, and head gear are provided by the school. Wrestling shoes can be purchased at Rogans, Scheels, or online. I do have some shoes wrestlers can use, but cannot guarantee I have the correct size. Wrestlers can start the season with regular gym shoes, if needed.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. I would love to talk to you about wrestling and the benefits of the sport.

What Is Love and Logic All About?
The Love and Logic Institute is dedicated to making parenting and teaching fun and rewarding, instead of stressful and chaotic. We provide practical tools and techniques that help adults achieve respectful, healthy relationships with their children. All of our work is based on a psychologically sound parenting and teaching philosophy called Love and Logic.
What Is Love and Logic?
Children learn the best lessons when they're given a task and allowed to make their own choices (and fail) when the cost of failure is still small. Children's failures must be coupled with love and empathy from their parents and teachers.
This practical and straightforward philosophy is backed with 30 years of experience. Parents can apply it immediately to a wide range of situations instead of struggling with difficult counseling procedures
Why Does It Work?
Uses humor, hope, and empathy to build up the adult/child relationship
Emphasizes respect and dignity for both children and adults
Provides real limits in a loving way
Teaches consequences and healthy decision-making
