Gifted Minorities Achieving
"Because talent is found in ALL cultural groups."
The CCHS Initiative to Identify & Support the Needs of Culturally Diverse Gifted Glads
Talent is found in all cultural groups. Therefore, the mission of the CCHS Gifted Minorities Achieving Initiative is to provide support for our students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds who have been identified as gifted or have the potential to take rigorous level course work here at CCHS. Through this initiative, we want to see an increase in the percentage of students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds in Advanced Placement Courses, the Governor’s Honors Program, the National Honor Society, the PSAT/National Merit Program, and college enrollment. Through this initiative, student enrollment in AP courses will accurately reflect the demographics of Clarke Central High School.
The Vision of the G.M.A. Initiative
Through the Gifted Minorities Achieving Initiative, we desire to support, empower, and educate the parents of culturally diverse students of the various opportunities at CCHS for their high achieving students. Through this initiative, we desire for all of our high achieving students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds to have equal access to all opportunities at the secondary level, and to be equipped for success in their post secondary education.
