Born and Raised in the best city around, Cincinnati <3 I love my Reds! Beer, Bratwurst, Sauerkraut; all I need on a hot summer day :)
But anywaaaayyy, here's a little about the beginnings of my fit life... I started softball in grade school and played all the way up till Freshman year of HS. I piddled around and did one year of volleyball and basketball during middle school. However, during the beginning of my sophomore year, I ended up quitting softball and decided to join an absolutely awesome rowing team out at East Fork State Park. Rowing thus became the love of my life, and I dearly miss it to this day. I earned many medals and many friendships. I ended up becoming an assistant coach during my Freshman year of college after I graduated HS, but I ended up resigning from that spot once my classes got in the way of evening practice times. So then on I started my new journey into the halls of Planet Fitness. One day at PF, I was on the treadmill watching a television show on ESPN I think or something and I couldn't decide what the heck was going on. There were a bunch of girls with barbells doing some kind of completion outside. It was very awe inspiring because they weren't your natural standard of what a gym babe should look like. They were strong, sweaty, and beautiful. And at that moment, I was like, "I don't have any idea what the heck they're doing to be that awesome, but I promise to myself that I'M GOING TO DO EXACTLY THAT SOMEDAY." My wish became reality... something magical happened in the summer of 2013, I found and joined a seriously awesome crossfit gym!!! I found a new love in the world of sports fitness. My relationship with crossfit has been on and off for the past 3 years unfortunately due to my school schedule with nursing but I'm still faithful to the barbell whether its at my REAL local gym (I'm no longer at that rinky-dink PF lol) or at my crossfit box. I have never felt so great before in my life; I am strong and I am beautiful. I also, adopted a healthier way of eating. I do binge occasionally but I end up getting back on track because I can't stand how I feel afterwards! Ha! But here I will outline my newest journey; prepping for a bikini competition. As I go along, I will post progress pics, gym swolfies ;), and various other posts regarding my food prep and lifting schedule and maybe a few video blogs eventually!
Happy Valentine's Day :*

First Set of Progress Pics!
These are from the beginning of the year. I can honestly say that I need practice with how I should flex... lol. My weight above was about 140? I don't know honestly. I've never been one to worry about my weight. I've focused on how I felt more than anything. When I felt fit and healthy I knew it. When I felt like shit, well I knew I needed to get myself back on track.
Since the beginning of the new year, my eating habits have been in and out and not set in stone. Lately I've been having a rough personal life that has kept me from focusing on my diet. I have been to the gym 5-6 days out the week and that's not the problem. But I know in my heart that my diet is my weakness. The last four days have been binge eating due to my emotional distress and I know I shouldn't. So for two days now I've been putting more effort into packing healthy food.
So, I decided to start this web page as a way for me to really see my progress and take myself accountable for what I've been doing and haven't been doing. I know I have it within me to control the desires!

But fortunately I ended up LOVING chest day when I moved to a better gym that actually had a barbell. Thank you sweet baby Jesus. Currently benching 95lbs max. Jelly??? Okay not the best but it was a good max for me haha still working on it!
