From the Principal
Good Afternoon Monroe Families!
If your Monroe student took part in the fundraiser and had the items shipped to Monroe, please plan to pick up those items today until 4:30pm. The school has sent a Talking Points message or a phone call if your order was small enough for your student to bring home on the bus. If you didn't get a message or phone call, please plan to come to the school for pick up. Students will be receiving their prizes including: the Magic Show, ice cream, cupcakes, and McDonalds on Tuesday, December 11th during the school day.
Our PE students have been enjoying playing games this week with the Omnikin ball. This giant size ball was used for a throwing and catching game with our students in Mr. Janda's class. Our students have had a blast using the ball in PE class.
This week, we did our winter Map testing in math and reading. Students worked hard this week getting their testing completed.
Have a great weekend!

Gifted Review Update
The district continues to make significant progress with our gifted services
evaluation. Marge Mulcahy from the ESCCO has already met with
multiple JA staff members, conducted site visits, and taken a deep dive
into our district's gifted data.
The next step in the process is to offer gifted focus group presentations to
the school community on the evenings of November 30th and
December 12th from 6:30-7:30pm in the JAHS library. Please
consider joining us for one of these evening events to learn more about
our current services, possible options for the future, and to provide
feedback to inform our next steps and recommendations to the Board of
Education. In order to better plan for these events, please complete thishttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeY8Ak3QeGuljH84vuQ0i_vji6sJzCvMTkmY-qBqLI7tvfmYw/viewform
