Our vision is to be the most student-centered school working to nurture, inspire, and empower our learners so that they become strong, successful individuals with 21st century skills. We define 21st century skills as being a critical thinker/problem solver, empowered, collaborative, curious, innovative, and resilient.

Save a Spot in Kindergarten Next Year!
In the Zona: Satori
Satori has a big heart, she cares for everyone, and is always there to help those in need. She is a one of a kind kid who enjoys making her own fashion accessories, including headbands and bows. She will save little beetles that make their way into her house, bringing them back outside to their families. Academically Satori is very interested in science, especially learning about collecting rocks.
Welcome Ms. Davis!
We are beyond excited to welcome Ms. Heather Davis to our 5th/6th grade classroom. She has taught 5th grade, middle school, and high school. Her goal is to create a nurturing positive classroom that will inspire life long learning.
NWEA Benchmark Testing
Your child learns better-and faster- when teachers and students have a clear picture of what they know and what they are ready to learn next. The NWEA assessment is an "adaptive" assessment which reacts to each child's answers and gets more challenging when they are getting answers correct and becomes easier when they are getting answers incorrect.
At Discover U kindergarten through sixth grade have started taking their middle of the year benchmark assessment. The goal of this assessment is to measure their growth, find students strengths and their areas to focus.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to your child's classroom teacher.

This month they have kick started two fundraising opportunities for Discover U. The classroom with the most Box Tops by December 18th will win a pizza part from the PTO. Please see the flyers below to learn more.
We would love to have more parents join us at our meetings. Our next meeting is December 11th from 5:30pm-6:30pm in the Learning Lounge.
