How to Translate Google Chrome and Schoology (Cómo traducir Google Chrome y Schoology)
Language Arts
This week, we will be reading two entries from Anne Frank's diary, and completing two diary entries. These diary entries (which students will pull from their own lives and experiences, with different prompts each time) should be at least two paragraphs long. The grading rubric is included in the Schoology files. Students will revise their best entry to submit for a grade.
Week Two is live on Schoology at this time--feel free to get a head start. Each day's activities are listed per day.
U.S. History
As we begin this E-Learning process, students in U.S. History will begin a condensed study of the Civil War. All lessons and resources will be on Schoology, of course. Students will need to check this frequently to find their work and updates for U.S. History.
The syllabus, lesson schedule for the year, and my personal schedule are posted below. Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
Mathematics
This week, our focus is still on the number system. The quiz has been pushed back--it is now expected to be on Tuesday, April 21st.
This week's online lessons:
Monday--Fractions to Decimals
Tuesday--Decimals to Fractions
Wednesday & Thursday--Rational & Irrational Numbers i-Ready Lesson
**it's pretty long, so I'm giving this two days
Friday--Comparing and Ordering Real Numbers

Science
During the week of April 13th - April 17th, we will begin to cover genetics.
Monday/Tuesday: Students will research a geneticist and participate in a discussion board. This is an ungraded lesson.
Wednesday/Thursday: Students will watch a video covering genes and Punnett Squares. They will then fill out a poll on which traits they possess based on the "19 Traits" PowerPoint in Schoology. This is an ungraded lesson.
Friday: Students will practice filling out Punnett Squares for an imaginary alien species. This is a 20% assignment and will be graded. Due Date: April 24th.
