The Community Food Drive went well at our school. Mrs. Quintana's class won a Mazzio's pizza party by bringing 140 pounds of canned goods. Their party will be Friday, November 9th after the Veteran's Day program. Our whole school brought in 625 pounds of canned goods to help our community. Thanks for helping our children learn the value of helping others!
Mrs. King's class won the October Boxtop contest. They brought in about 70 Boxtops!.. Our school brought in $78.00. They will have an ice cream sandwich party on November 9th after the Veteran's Day program. We will have another Boxtop contest for November...snip..snip..snip!! Thanks for sending yours in to school--they really do add up!
Our carnival starts Thursday, November 8th at 5:30 p.m. It will end at 7:00 p.m. We hope to see everyone here...we still need the following items:
1st grade-movie basket items
2nd grade-hunting/outdoor basket items
3rd grade-gift card basket items
4th grade-game night basket items
please check with your teacher-they may need baskets to hold the items
2 liter bottles of pop
large candy bars
Wristbands are on sale for $5.00 to save you time on Thursday. We will have lots of fun---reading activities, 3 inflatables, face painting, candy bar/book walk, pumpkin character contest, basket auction, and every child gets glow jewelry...food tickets will be sold for $3.00 a meal-chili, hotdogs, and frito chili pie!! See you Thursday evening!!
Today Shared Blessings came to reward students that had Perfect Attendance in the months of September and October. In September we had 126 students and in October we had 102 with Perfect Attendance. We are very thankful to Shared Blessings for blessing our students. They do a lot for our school and they make us feel very loved!! Our attendance has been really great--here is the breakdown by grades:
1st grade- 96.10%
2nd grade- 97.22%
3rd grade- 96.78%
4th grade- 96.93%
Total School-96.73%
