Upcoming Mactoberfest, Brahma March and Night Pep Rally!
Our Garner band, boys' athletics, girls' athletics, and student clubs and organizations will all be participating in this community event. If you haven't had the chance to participate, you must join us on this evening.
Mac's evening filled with fun begins with their Mactoberfest that will take place in their courtyard from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm. From 6:00-7:00, we will support MacArthur in their Brahma March through their neighborhood, where Mac and Garner will showcase all of our students marching in this "parade." Finally, from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Mac will host their annual Night Pep Rally - this year for the first time Garner Band will performs several pieces of music in this pep rally!
So, let's continue to show everyone that Garner Pride is still alive by joining us and MacArthur on Wednesday, November 8th! We are the future Brahma students of MacArthur High School! Go Mac! Go Yearlings!
Garner Mactoberfest T-Shirts!
Garner will be selling Mactoberfest t-shirts for $10. You can purchase them during lunch time or in the front office. These are spirit shirts so they can be worn any day of the week with uniform bottoms. Purchase one and wear it to Mactoberfest to show your Garner Pride!
PTA Collaborative Event & David's Law
MARK YOUR CALENDAR! – The MacArthur Cluster will be hosting a PTA collaborative event at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, in partnership with our feeder middle schools: Garner, Driscoll, and Bradley. We will have PTA spirit tables from all four schools and a special presentation, "What Every Parent Needs to Know About Cyberbullying and David's Law" with special guest speaker Maurine Molak, David’s mother. You do not want to miss this event, so put it on your calendar now!
Fall Band Concerts!
Last Week in Athletics!
Our volleyball teams competed against Driscoll last week, bringing home five of six wins! Congratulations to all of our student athletes who participated in these games.
This past weekend our girls closed out their volleyball season at their End-of-Season tournament. Our 7th graders won Consolation at their tournament! Congratulations to all our girls who competed this school year. I am very proud of all of you for giving us a fun and exciting season of volleyball. I thank all of our volleyball coaches for the hard work and long hours you have given to our students this season in teaching and coaching them: Edna Coleman, Megan Ojeda, Lindsay Hill, Toni Rocheleau, Sally Nordman and Julie Rogers. Go Yearlings!
