A MESSAGE FROM DR. DENISE COLLIER TAFT COS ADMINISTRATOR
Dear Parents and Guardians,
In order to provide the possible environment and receive the best education possible, Los Angeles Unified is now requiring all students who are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination to be fully vaccinated by Monday, January 10, 2022, unless they have a qualified exemption. Proof of vaccination must be uploaded to the LAUSD Daily Pass.
To stay on track for in-person instruction next semester, students must complete the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination by Sunday, November 21, 2021. Students must receive their second dose no later than Sunday, December 19, 2021. If your child receives an LAUSD vaccination, it will be automatically uploaded to the Daily Pass. If your child receives vaccination doses from an outside agency, you must upload proof to the LAUSD Daily Pass by the deadline.
Beginning Monday, January 10, 2022, LAUSD students 12 and older who do not have proof of a COVID-19 vaccination uploaded to the Daily Pass portal will not be permitted on campus unless an exemption or conditional admissions apply. Unvaccinated students will be referred to the district's independent study program, City of Angels. Please do not wait to upload your child's vaccination records until winter break. In preparation for resuming school after winter break, schools will begin reconfiguring classes and sending students' names who will join the City of Angels program on Sunday, December 19, 2021.

Volunteering is Back!
Los Angeles Unified continues to uphold the highest standards of health and safety. The District will continue to provide free COVID testing on school campuses and regional testing sites for every volunteer. This means approved volunteers will return to campus fulfilling tasks such as supporting the classroom, playground, and dining areas, in addition to mentoring, providing student services, and supporting campus beautification. Los Angeles Unified will also continue to offer virtual volunteer opportunities. We greatly missed volunteers and look forward to supporting them with training as they return to campus.
