Greetings Students, Parents, and Community Members,
I am pleased and privileged to be serving your children and our community, in my 4th year as Center Director of Paint Branch Saturday School. The educators at Paint Branch Saturday School are committed to encouraging, engaging, educating, and exciting students about their learning and future every Saturday through our instructional expertise and excellent educational programs. I look forward to partnering with you, the Paint Branch community, and NEC consortium to enhance our students’ academic skills and knowledge, build their self-confidence, and provide experiences and opportunities that prepare them to exceed the college- and career-ready standards.

October 10 In Reading, students will read and re-tell Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See? as well as learn the routines for the ABC center and writing center.
In Math, students will complete the Counting Jar and Question of the day as well as learn math center routines.
October 24 In Reading, students will read and re-tell Big Pumpkin and use a combination of letter sounds and pictures to express their thoughts and feelings.
In Math, they will count objects and compare quantities.
November 7 In Reading, students will use key details to re-tell Where the Wild Things Are and learn the routines for pocket chart center.
In Math they will Identify whether the number of objects in one group is greater than, less than, or equal to the number of objects in another group, by using matching and counting strategies.
November 14 In Reading, students will identify characters, settings, and major events in the story Little Engine That Could and learn sight word games.
In Math, they will sort objects and count to find out how many are in each group.
November 21 In Reading, students will ask and answer questions about a non-fiction Thanksgiving text and play the sight word games Memory and Oh No!
In Math, they will represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20.
