A Message from Our Principal
Hopefully your child shared a bit about our school assembly this past Friday. While the format was different than in a normal year, the messages and enthusiasm were still the same. Students left the building skipping and talking about how awesome it was. Staff were equally as excited and went out of their way to talk about how much their students (and they) loved it. You can take a sneak peek at the link in your child's Google Classroom. This Thursday, we are bringing our ENTIRE school community together--students, staff and YOU for our LDS Family Night. We hope you can join in for the fun. Please see the details below.
As you may have heard, beginning on February 1st, all Kindergarten and First grade students are returning for five days per week. They are still following the abbreviated schedule of 8:25-12:25. We are busily preparing logistically for their return to ensure it is a safe and seamless transition. We know you are as excited as we are! With the return of many more students, comes the increase of more school traffic. This year, families have been slightly more laxed with the traffic flow turning into the back parking lot. Please remember, cars need to be on the line heading down Derby Dr and turn LEFT into the back lot. There have been some "close calls" with cars coming down Derby Drive and pulling out of the lot while cars are trying to turn right into the lot. We ask you to PLEASE review the arrival/dismissal information below (letters included) if you are not sure. Freehold Township Police are amazing at assisting us with safety during transitional times especially. We are hoping to see their smiling faces there as we transition again on February 1st. Please help keep everyone safe by following the rules. We also ask for you to remain in your car at all times. Staff is there if you need assistance. Finally, please only let your child out of the car on the curb side only (driver's side). Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe!

SAFETY AT ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL
Safety at arrival and dismissal :
Please stay in your vehicle at all times. Please practice having your child get in and out of the car on the driver’s side in a quick manner so that this does not hold up the line of cars behind you. Please do not leave your vehicle.
- Please wear a mask while on school property. Staff members are assisting students, so we kindly ask you to wear a mask during arrival/dismissal.
- Please do not pull around cars or form two lanes. We realize your time is valuable but please wait to pull up. Do not create a second lane for drop off.
- Please pull ALL THE WAY UP in the line of cars so that more cars may move ahead. Please do not stop.
- Please try to refrain from cell phone use while driving on school property. Students are crossing at crosswalks and staff members are on duty. This is a safety issue that we are trying to enforce during arrival and dismissal.
