Teacher Appreciation: Happy Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3-7). We appreciate each of you always, but most especially for not only surviving, but thriving during this challenging year. You are the heroes of tomorrow's generation of leaders and achievers. Thank you so much for all you do! Please join our Teacher Appreciation Evening for celebration, inspiration, entertainment, and recharging your batteries for the final push of the year.
Freshman Survey: The deadline to complete the Freshman Survery is May 7th. Middle School teams should expect to receive their school's results by the last week of May, so you can utilize the data for planning and advising your 8th graders with the advice provided to them by your alumni.
Upcoming Asynchronous PIR: A great opportunity to learn once again about supporting students with creating scientific models and explanations, designed and presented for us by NGSS Expert Kirk Robbins! More info. coming soon!

Rigorous Scientific Thinking (asynchronous) With Kirk Robbins
This asynchronous online workshop for K-12 teachers will provide teachers with tools and strategies to engage their students in powerful science learning. Teachers will consider three of the science & engineering practices: developing and using models, constructing explanations, and engaging in argument. The session will involve classroom video cases, tools and strategies for supporting students, examples of student work to analyze, and articles on these powerful practices. This session is designed so that participants can work at their own pace and complete the 3 hours in one sitting or in multiple interactions.
Participants will have from May 18th-June 18th to complete the session to receive up to three (3) renewal units.

PK-5th Kick Off To Summer Mini Conference June 12th!
This is a very exciting free opportunity for pre-school through fifth-grade educators. Available to Flathead, Lincoln, Sanders, and Lake county educators. Paras, teachers, and leaders are all welcome and encouraged to attend.
