Weekly Wrap Up & Announcements
Mr. Feldman will also be departing from Franklin this coming week. He will be continuing his work with students and families in St. Lucie county, where he resides. We will miss both Ms. Egan and Mr. Feldman and wish them both well on their future endeavors.
Mr. Victor Ospina will now be serving in the role of Director of School Operations. Ms. Muzzillo will continue in her role as assistant principal, but will now oversee all of K-8. She is also handling all curriculum support due to Ms. Maldonado's return to the classroom.
Ms. Mullins, our 4th grade ELA teacher, will be leaving the classroom to round out our ESE department. Ms. Williams will be taking over the Support Facilitation functions of elementary ESE and Ms. Mullins will transition into Direct Instruction. If you have any questions regarding your student's ESE services, please contact Dr. Dallas.

We Need Your Help!
As you know, we have decreased the required service hour requirement from 20 per student to 8 per family. The aim of this change was to decrease the burden on families, however we are now faced with a shortage of volunteers. One of the best parts of FA-PBG is our parent involvement, especially at our many family and community events. Please consider volunteering at Harvest Festival, Scholastic Book Fair, and other events throughout the year to keep these traditions alive.
Clubs
Patriot Pack
We want our students to be able come and cheer on our patriots, and we know it’s often difficult for parents to make the games and supervise their student-fan, so with the Patriot Pack, we hope to solve this issue. With the purchase of individual games passes or a season pass, parents grant permission for their grade 5-8 students* to attend the game(s) under the supervision of our Franklin faculty and staff. If you purchase a Patriot Pack t-shirt your child can wear it to school on game days, so they are ready to cheer on the team after school! If you have any questions, please contact Coach D at defelice.james@franklin-academy.org. Go Patriots!!!
* Students in grades K-4 cannot attend any games without parental supervision.
Scholastic Book Fair
Franklin Feast Dress Down
Middle School Dance***
Place: The dance will be held in our cafeteria, though you probably won't recognize it once it's transformed into our spooky dance hall.
Cost: $10 paid in check or money order to the student's 1st hour teacher by October 25th.
What's included: Students who have paid for the dance can dress down on the 27th. They can also dress in costume during the dance only, though it is not required that students be in costume. Costumes must follow the dress-down dress code and cannot include masks or weapons. Your $10 also includes snacks, use of a photo booth, and all the dancing you can handle! Watch out though; Ms. Muzzillo and Ms. Ellis have been known to be scary on the dance floor...scary good that is!
Pick-Up: Students will be picked up at the carline at 6:00 PM. Any student not picked up by 6:15 PM will have a late fee of $1/a minute added to their Franklin account.
***Please note, Middle School students will NOT be permitted to dress in costume to school on Halloween, so if you want your Franklin friends to see your awesome (and awesomely appropriate) costume, the dance is your chance.
