Amoebic Dysentery

This is caused by parasies entamoeba histolytica and causes violent diarrhea, blood or mucus in the stool, dehydration,weight loss,moderate fever and fatigue.

Amoebic Dysentery is also mostly found in developing countries although it is sometimes even found in industrialized nations.

Can be treated by metronidezole but must be followed up with a second lumenal drug to eliminate amoebea to form in the intestine.
