Happy October, Raymore Families!
It's hard to believe our first quarter is drawing to a close. What a wonderful gift it has been to work with your children these past weeks as they've built positive relationships within their class and begun celebrating learning goals that our teachers are so excited to support them in reaching. The staff and I look forward to the opportunity to see you all at your Parent-Teacher Conference appointments in the coming weeks (Oct. 23-24 for elementary; also Oct. 9 & 16 for EC.) As of October 10, you should have received either an email or a hard copy confirming your specific parent conference time. The teachers are excited to discuss with you your child's progress and the plan to help them reach further success in 2nd quarter. Thank you for your partnership and support in helping your child develop a love of learning. As always, please feel free to call me if you ever have a concern or question. I am happy to help.
I wish each of you in our school community a wonderful October!
Warmly,
Michelle Hofmann, Principal

Thank You for Your Participation in Our Read-A-Thon Fundraiser!
This was PTA's ONLY fundraiser planned for this school year, and we will celebrate on Friday, October 18, with a school assembly honoring top readers, fundraisers...and one staff member will be SLUSHED! Who will it be?! We truly appreciate your support of reading and assistance with securing pledges. Thank you for your support of our school and children! This fundraiser may be over, but we hope the good reading habits and love of stories established during this time will continue!

Raymore Elementary's "Caring About Nutrition" (C.A.N.) Club Spreads District-Wide!
- Kudos to our Raymore PTA, families, and staff who last year rallied together to donate food for kids who face food scarcity at home. Once again this year, our school family has pulled together to gather donations of food and money that allow us to feed 15 children each weekend.
- This year, the program, with the help of parent Allison Bruflat and our Ray-Pec Foundation has expanded and now serves students in several other K-6 schools! Way to go everyone who has helped inspire this expansion!
- How can you help? Visit http://www.raypec.k12.mo.us/DocumentCenter/View/6374 and look for the green bin in our front lobby. Thank you for supporting our students!
