St. Anthony Catholic School celebrates each individual as a unique child of God, provides a safe, Christ-centered environment that promotes cultural diversity, academic achievement, and challenges each of us to serve the school, parish, and community.
More than a school, we are a family.
Our 2020-2021 theme is Anchored in Faith
A note from Mrs. Becker
Thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity throughout the Advent season. I pray you are able to keep the spirit of Christmas and the love of Christ alive in your hearts as we journey into 2021.
Advent Time, Talent, and Treasure
Advent, November 29-December 24, was a busy time with many opportunities to share our
Time, Talents and Treasures!
Our Catholic Social Teachings remind us that God made us to be part of communities, families, and countries, so all our people can share and help each other. This year as we learned about Advent, we are focused on the ways we can open our hearts and prepare for the Birth of Jesus.
We collected 70 pair of shoes, 120 pajamas, and too many baby items to count. Thank you!
The Great Ornament Adventure
Each family was invited to create one ornament and bring it to school to hang on the office tree. The ornaments reflected the theme, "What does your family have to give during this Advent and Christmas Season?" From the families who sent in an ornament to a name was drawn to win a gift certificate to have dinner as a family. Congratulations to
Addison and Anderson Balentine
VIRTUAL STUDENTS
Virtual Learning
If you want to move your student(s) to or from Virtual Learning, please contact Mrs. Becker and homeroom teacher.
If you are a family receiving scholarships from the state, and k-8 your child is learning from home, this important message is for you! Please remember that late this summer, the scholarship organizations announced that they WOULD offer scholarship dollars for students who choose to learn from home through December. Under an updated emergency order, the FDOE is allowing for scholarship students to continue remote learning. Mrs. Becker will be scheduling a Zoom meeting with Virtual Learners' families to discuss progress and the second half of the school year on Zoom.
COVID Precautions
We thank you for your support of our efforts to keep our students, faculty, and staff healthy. As we return to school from Christmas Break, our students, faculty, and staff will continue to follow all established protocols, including wearing of face masks, extra cleaning, social distancing, etc. We will continue to follow the protocols in place until further notice.
If you or your child(ren) have been exposed to COVID or in contact with someone who has tested positive while on break, please contact Mrs. Becker as soon as possible BEFORE returning to school. Students may be required to quarantine depending on the exposure. Keep in mind that we are focused on keeping everyone healthy and we need your help. We follow the recommendations of the CDC and local health authorities, as well as, directions from the Diocese of Orlando.
If your child is sick, please keep him or her home. We will be calling parents to pick up students when they are not feeling well. You have done a great job communicating with us as you have seen doctors. Please continue sending notes when returning from absences and calling or emailing when keeping a student at home.
Working together, we can keep students and staff healthy.
